Emily Hahn, MD, is a clinical fellow in the division of Neonatology and a Hecht-Levi fellow at the Berman Institute of Bioethics. She is interested in decision making for infants in the neonatal intensive care unit, perceptions of disability, and the quality of life of medically complex children and their caregivers. She is also interested in providing palliative care services to medically complex children in the NICU, and plans to pursue further training in pediatric palliative care.
Emily received her BA in 2006 from Vassar College where she majored in Jewish Studies. She received her MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2011. During medical school she was awarded the Haggerty-Friedman Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and conducted video illness narratives with children undergoing cancer treatment. She completed her pediatric residency from 2011-2014 at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital.
